PrAtlas/22468515
BRISBANE, Australia - Nov. 29, 2018 - PrAtlas -- Cryptsoft today announced a strategic relationship with Gemalto, a global leader in digital security, to supply the widely deployed KMIP C Server SDK, to enhance Gemalto's SafeNet KeySecure, the company's centralized encryption key management platform. By incorporating Cryptsoft's KMIP technology with its SafeNet KeySecure, Gemalto is helping enterprises simplify and streamline encryption key management processes through KMIP's unified communications protocol between encryption systems and enterprise applications, including email, databases and storage systems.
With the growing use of encryption in almost every industry, the centralized management of encryption keys has become vital to any organisation's cyber security defence capability. The most widely deployed standard for encryption key management, the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) standard is continually evolving to meet the growing enterprise requirements.

In order to leverage the latest KMIP specification, Gemalto has licensed Cryptsoft's KMIP technology for use in the SafeNet KeySecure. The standard's next major version, KMIP v2.0, will deliver a wider range of new features including changes to increase performance and scalability, functionality to deliver and integrate with security administration controls and improvements for authentication, key rollover and cloud infrastructure integration. The new version will enable implementers to deliver encryption key and security object management solutions that are more robust and efficient whilst meeting existing and emerging cybersecurity requirements.
"Licensing Cryptsoft's KMIP technology enables us to focus on the core features of SafeNet KeySecure that make it a market leading key management solution. The skills, knowledge and toolkits provided by Cryptsoft allow us to stay current on KMIP standards and support our growing technology partner ecosystem," said Todd Moore, SVP Encryption Products at Gemalto.

"Since the first release of KMIP v1.0, we have had a long relationship with the Gemalto team when they adopted KMIP back in 2010. Working individually, we have already managed to ensure that our technologies are present in many of the fortune 500 companies. Working together, we believe that we will deliver better solutions for the market as a whole, especially with KMIP capabilities continuing to accelerate and KMIP's reach opening up new markets," said Tony Cox VP Partners, Alliances & Standards at Cryptsoft.
