MIAMI - PrAtlas -- ENERGY33, a LATAM focused energy project developer and engineering company, was recently awarded an engineering and construction management contract for an 8.5 MW power generation project from PARK ENERGY, the energy supplier to the Green Valley Industrial Park in Santa Barbara, Honduras. PARK ENERGY provides electricity, steam and chilled water to the numerous multinational clients located in the Green Valley Industrial Park operating in the textile, automotive, apparel and other light assembly industries. The 8.5 MW power plant has been designed to operate in parallel with an existing 14.9 MW co-generation power plant that the founders of ENERGY33 designed, engineered and built in 2006.
ENERGY33 was engaged to provide the integration, engineering and construction management for this power plant that will provide additional power to the industrial park's clients with an installation time of five months. ENERGY33's responsibilities include preparing the conceptual, basic and detailed engineering to retrofit the power plant for its new location and to integrate and coordinate the civil, mechanical and electrical contractors needed to install the plant.

According to Juan Carlos Gomez, Park Energy's Director of Energy, "ENERGY33 is managing the various contractors responsible for the civil, mechanical and electrical installation of the power plant to ensure that the project is being installed in accordance with the engineering plans. With ENERGY33's project management expertise, we are confident that the power plant will be built on time and on budget."
Jose Benitez, the EVP of Engineering responsible for the engineering and construction management of the project stated, "It is an honor to support Park Energy and the Green Valley Industrial Park to provide reliable and cost-efficient electricity to their wide array of clients located in the most modern industrial park in Honduras."
