JT Legal Group Recognizes the Pandemic of Nursing Home Abuse during COVID-19

LOS ANGELES - PrAtlas -- Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the JT Legal Group, based in Glendale, California, recognizes and seeks to spread awareness about abuse that continues to take place in nursing homes across California and the United States. The coronavirus has compounded the problem, leading to the real possibility of further harm to the nation's elderly as a result of neglect and abuse – whether physical, emotional, or psychological.

This figure is expected to rise dramatically. In California, half of all COVID-19 cases are coming from nursing homes. It now more important than ever that extra care is taken in terms of sanitization in order to keep the most vulnerable in our community safe. In light of this, neglect cannot be excused as it can lead to serious harm, and even death.

According to Robert Kramer, president of the consulting firm Nexus Insights and long-time observer of nursing home finances, "There will never come a time when we will return to the old normal."
