SAN FRANCISCO - PrAtlas -- Netberg announced the release of two new models powered by the Broadcom StrataXGS® Trident3 series, the Netberg Aurora 221 1G switch and Aurora 621 25G switch.
The Aurora 221 is a cost-efficient 1G switch for data centers and the edge of modern campus networks. With 48x 1G RJ45 Base-T and 8x 10G SFP+ ports, it has Broadcom® Trident3-X2 BCM56277 silicon at heart. The Aurora 221 brings bandwidth, network intelligence, and programmability to the 1G world.
The Aurora 621 is a multi-role switch suited for Top-of-Rack/Spine Datacenter, Enterprise, and CSP network deployments. With 48x 25G SFP28 and 6x 100G QSFP28 ports and Broadcom® Trident3-X5 silicon, it offers novel overlays, instrumentation and telemetry, and pipeline programmability. Trident3-X5 programmability can be used to add advanced load balancing, enhanced security, network intelligence, new software-defined forwarding, and database reconfiguration delivering capabilities.

The new models rely on the end-to-end common Trident 3 (TD3) architecture that scales from wiring closet units to campus-cores, bringing feature and software programming consistency that translates into reduced development costs and quick time-to-market. Its programmable pipeline allows new features to be added after deployment through in-field upgrades, protecting operators' capex investment.
Netberg Aurora 621 and Aurora 221 switches are a valuable extension of Netberg's programmable switches portfolio. Both systems support Ubuntu Linux and OpenBCM Broadcom Core Switch Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling hassle-free custom software development.
About Netberg:
Netberg provides advanced hardware solutions for data centers, telecoms, and enterprises worldwide. Netberg offers a complete line of open networking products with commercial and open-source NOS/SDN software and custom hardware and software development services.
