"Our winners are redefining what it means to live boldly with chronic illness. They are resilient, creative, and committed to building a better world." — Lilly Stairs
BOSTON - PrAtlas -- Chronic Boss is thrilled to announce the winners of the fourth annual Chronic Boss Scholarship.
The scholarship seeks to support entrepreneurial-spirited women living with chronic conditions who are determined to make a difference. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 to five outstanding recipients.
The Chronic Boss Scholarship program is the brainchild of Lilly Stairs, 2x founder, patient advocate, and Board Chair of the Autoimmune Association.
"It is an honor and a privilege to uplift the next generation of Chronic Bosses," said Lilly Stairs, Founder & CEO of Chronic Boss. "Our winners are redefining what it means to live boldly with chronic illness. They are resilient, creative, and committed to building a better world."
This year, the Chronic Boss Scholarship is proud to include a sponsored award from Mentally Fit Founder, a division of Lauren Perna Communications. The sponsored scholarship reflects a shared commitment to investing in student entrepreneurs who are building impact-driven ventures while navigating chronic illness and mental health conditions.
"As a mental health advocate, I am dedicated to supporting fellow advocates, and there is no better way to demonstrate that commitment than sponsoring Chronic Boss scholar, Tesia Shi," said Lauren Perna, CEO of Lauren Perna Communications. "I'm so impressed with the impactful work Tesia has done as an undergrad and is now doing as a Counseling Psychology PhD student."
Since its inception, the scholarship has received nearly 2,000 applications from remarkable women. Applications are reviewed by an expert judging panel made up of founding members of the Chronic Boss Collective.
