To celebrate 25 years in business, an SME company donates £25,000 to charity.
MOLD, Wales - PrAtlas -- To mark 25 years in business, the Ten Percent Foundation has made a donation of £25,000 to Cure Parkinson's, the UK charity dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's.
The donation is deeply personal. One of the Foundation's trustees, John Fagan, passed away with Parkinson's in 2016, and since then the charity has held a special place in the organisation's work. The business has supported Cure Parkinson's with annual contributions since 2017, but this year's gift is particularly poignant.
Not only does it mark the 25th anniversary of the Ten Percent group of b2b service companies, but it also celebrates 20 years since Cure Parkinson's was founded.
Jonathan Fagan, founder of the Ten Percent Group, reflected:
"This donation means more to us than simply celebrating 25 years in business. It honours John's memory and supports a cause he – and we – care about deeply. From the beginning, our goal has been to show that business can be a force for good. Giving 10% of our profits to charity is part of that. But this donation is special – it's about family, memory, and hope."
Jonathan and Clare Fagan, the founders of the business, together with Anna Gresty and Jeremy Fagan, trustees of the foundation, recently visited Cure Parkinson's headquarters to meet the team behind the research. They spent time learning about the project their donation is funding and gaining a deeper understanding of the impact Cure Parkinson's is having.

Founded in 2005 by four people living with Parkinson's – including one diagnosed at just 26 – Cure Parkinson's has since invested around £25 million into research projects worldwide. The charity was established out of frustration with the lack of treatments aimed at slowing or halting the disease, and today it remains driven by the same determination to find a cure. The charity was recently supported by Black Sabbath with a pledge to donate a proportion of the amount raised from Ozzy Osbourne's final concert.
Helen Matthews, CEO of Cure Parkinson's said: "we are so grateful for the ongoing support from the Ten Percent Group, which they give in honour of John, one of their trustees who passed away with Parkinson's. Their donation of £25,000 this year to mark their 25th anniversary is especially significant. Their continued support as part of our mission is helping us accelerate research that will stop, slow or reverse Parkinson's."
The Ten Percent Foundation channels charitable giving from the Ten Percent Group of companies, which include Ten-Percent Legal Recruitment, Interim Lawyers and TP Transcription Limited. For 25 years the Foundation has donated more than £270,000 to causes ranging from prison choirs in the UK to funding wildlife rangers in Africa.

Clare Fagan said, "We are only a small group of companies with a turnover of £1 million. But does it matter? We don't think so. Whatever size a company is, we can all make a difference to the communities around us through charitable giving."
For the company, this donation is a tribute – to 25 years of business, to the life of John Fagan, and to the work of Cure Parkinson's.
Notes to Editors:
